Lakeside Resort Casitas is a lovely community of condominiums located across from the “World’s Tallest Fountain” and just blocks away from downtown Fountain Hills.
Our unit is located on the second floor where the view is spectacular and there is plenty of privacy. Only one neighboring unit is attached on one wall behind the kitchen. The unit includes an open living room, dining room and kitchen concept, as well as a separate bedroom and bath. The kitchen includes a dishwasher, disposal and microwave and plenty of storage; a stacked washer/dryer is located behind a wall in the kitchen area.
Plenty of windows provide a bright and sunny environment. The fireplace provides a cozy atmosphere (Duralogs can only be used, as a safety precaution). Cable TV, DVD player and wireless internet are provided. The door to the partially covered balconey is accessed from the living room. From the left side of the balcony one sees Fountain Park and straight ahead one can see a panorama of mountains, from Four Peaks to Red Mountain, including the Superstition Mountains in between. We feel it is the best view in the complex!
The bedroom includes a king-size bed, plenty of cabinet space and a TV. A vanity area is situated between the bedroom and bathroom (which includes additional storage, toilet and tub/shower).
Lakeside Resort Casitas offer a beautiful salt water pool and hot tub, both heated year round. A clubhouse includes a ping pong table, a small library and complimentary coffee hour each weekday morning during January-March.
With a small town feel and all of the amenities of the big city within reach, Fountain Hills is a great area to vacation. From the casitas, one is within walking distance to many great restaurants, grocery stores and the local library. Live theater and jazz, championship golf courses, mountain biking and hiking are only a few features offered in and around Fountain Hills. Nearby are the Fort McDowell Casino, McDowell Mountain Reserve and Saguaro Lake. Baseball fans love the March Spring Training season, and art lovers look forward to the annual art festivals in November and February..
Easy access via Hwy 87 to Sky Harbor Airport as well as Tempe, Mesa, and Downtown Phoenix provide additional opportunities, all within 30 minutes. We are also located just 10 minutes away from the Mayo Clinic in North Scottsdale. And don’t forget the famous shopping of Scottsdale via Shea Blvd.
